About Idea Cafes Small Business Grant
Business Owners’ Idea Cafe has a $1,000 Small Business Grant that is given out to the business owner with the most votes over three stages. The three stages are as follows:
- Stage One – The first stage of the grant process is the entry period. During this stage, small business owners can submit their applications to be reviewed by the Idea Cafe’s editors. Generally, the application dates are from the 21st of November to the 21st of January.
- Stage Two – The second stage of the grant process is where all ineligible applicants are dropped and the eligible applicants are posted online for the public to vote on. At this time, the application window will be closed and all incomplete or non-compliant entries will be dismissed. Further, at this time, you can begin voting for your favorite businesses on the Idea Cafe website.
- Stage Three – This is the final stage in receiving the grant money. The final winner is chosen by public vote, which you can go here to do. Only the top ten small businesses from the previous round make it to this stage, and only one can win.
One of the really cool things about this grant is the way it is awarded. Each person can only submit ONE vote to the company they see as most fit to receive the grant money.
