Social Security Administration – Every elderly person who has worked enough in their lifetime to earn Social Security credits will be able to receive money each month from the program. They just need to apply for it using their social security number. The federal office will review their records to ensure that the person has enough earned work credits. If they do, they will earn a monthly cash payment for the rest of their life. The amount they get each month is influenced by how much they earned over the years they were working.
