United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) – This government agency offers a rural development program, which provides help to those who are in rural areas of the state. If you are willing to live in a rural area you may be able to get a loan or grant to buy a build a home. To qualify for the program you have to have a low income, be a legal resident of Kentucky, and be willing to live rurally. Homeless & Housing Coalition of Kentucky – This organization focuses on helping those who live in the state with their housing assistance needs. They will help people who are experiencing homelessness, are at risk for being homeless, or who have a low income and need help.
